Jim McCormack

Jim McCormack was with the 184th RAC, an airplane company of O1G Birddogs that deployed from Fort Sill Oklahoma in July of 1966 to Vietnam.  These photos show the conditions in which these Recon Airplane Companies operated in during this era.  Jim has photos of not only in theater but of Fort Sill, the flight to Tacoma Washington and the transport to Vietnam via the troop ship the General John Pope.  We would all agree that the conditions in which these flight operations were conducted were primitive by todays standards, but illustrate how tough were the planes and the men who worked on them and flew them.  Thanks to Jim for sharing this bit of Birddog history.
